BIO

Parish Sedghizadeh, MD, MS, QME, is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Southern California, Ostrow School of Dentistry, and Director of the USC Center for Biofilms. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UCLA, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. After his doctorate, he pursued specialty training in oral and maxillofacial pathology at Ohio State University, where he also attained a Master of Science degree in oral biology and fellowship in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Dr. Sedghizadeh has an active clinical practice at USC, conducts research, and publishes, consults and teaches oral pathology, radiology and medicine. He has over 60 peer-reviewed publications. His research laboratory, clinical practice and clinical research projects at USC currently focus on the characterization and treatment of head and neck pathology and microbial biofilm infections affecting the head and neck, particularly jaw osteomyelitis and osteonecrosis.
