BIO
Mehr Karamat, MD, PMH-C, QME, received her pre-med degree from St. Christopher’s College of Medicine in Luton, England, and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University in Dominica, West Indies. She completed post graduate training at Hennepin-Regions Psychiatry Training Program, and a fellowship at Penn State Hershey Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Karamat furthered her education and training in a psychoanalytic/psychotherapy training program at Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society & Institute, and achieved a Perinatal Mental Health Certificate from Postpartum Support International.
Dr. Karamat is currently a psychiatrist at Thriving Minds Psychiatric Services of California, and a psychiatrist at Perinatal Psychiatric Wellness Center. Her memberships include American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, Minnesota Psychiatric Society, Minnesota Medical Association, and Central California Psychiatric Society.
Dr. Karamat is medically licensed in California and Minnesota.
